Using lean start-up methods as the foundation, aspects of new venture development are explored and practiced – opportunity recognition and quantification, customer development research, minimum viable product (MVP) design and testing, business model design, new venture marketing strategies, financing and funding, and intellectual property protection. Students select a business idea and work independently and with their team to examine and test the idea’s feasibility, culminating in development and presentation of a sound business model and launch plan.
